A Fun and Romantic Game for Married Couples

As a slightly belated birthday gift for my husband I recently surprised him by joining him on an overnight business trip.

We’ve been married for over 30 years and it’s sometimes hard to come up with new ideas to keep romance alive in our relationship.  So when I read about The Discovery Game: for a Married Couple several months ago I decided to purchase it, and then tucked it away until we had a good opportunity to play it.

For this particular surprise I packed this game along with dinner and our favorite sparkling Limeade from Trader Joes, candles and romantic instrumental music (Kenny G. [does anyone else think Kenny G.’s music is romantic?!] and some slack key guitar) and then set the scene for a romantic overnighter in his hotel room.

The Discovery Game: for a Married Couple ~ If it's been a while since you and your honey have spent some romantic time together maybe it's time to plan some time for just the two of you and play this fun marriage strengthening game.

The Discovery Game: for a Married Couple was such a fun {and super romantic} way to spend a couple of hours that evening.  In fact, we were having so much fun we didn’t even notice that we had been playing for 2 hours.  Even though we have a strong marriage there’s always room for strengthening it and this game delivered.  It provided a way for us to be silly and laugh, learn more about each other, share our dreams and memories, and connect more deeply emotionally.  I’m already looking forward to a time when we can play it again.

Unlike some games for married couples, there’s nothing raunchy about The Discovery Game.  It’s uplifting and wholesome and offers just the right amount of competition, and it’s recommended by Focus on the Family.  It’s also a great game for any stage of marriage.

This is the written-up game description:

“Whether you have been married a brief time or many decades, have a solid marriage or one that needs a shot in the arm, The discovery Game creates an atmosphere that is exhilarating- where conversation, fun and romance result naturally. This unique resource allows you and your spouse to pursue true intimacy at a pace tailor made specifically to fit your relationship. One of the greatest things about The Discovery Game is, that it doesn’t feel like you are working on your marriage! You’re just having fun! Get The Discovery Game for less than it costs to go out to dinner, and be ready to pull a great date out of the box- anytime!

This game is recommended by Focus on the Family. It has also received endorsements from The American Association of Christian Counselors and Shaunti Feldhahn, (the best selling author of For Men Only and For Women Only). This is a tool that has been used by thousands of strong and struggling marriages alike, to move them toward passion.”

My husband is not a game lover, but he said in that particular setting it was really fun ~ we both enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

I love this Lori! My husbands birthday was over a week ago, and still no gift ideas for him. He has everything, and I really don’t want to spend money just for the sake of spending it! I think this game, and a quiet dinner will make a perfect gift!! We are approaching our 28th anniversary, but it is always a priority to enrich our marriage!

That was exactly our position and my thoughts on spending for a gift. This was perfect. I hope you enjoy it. I would love to know how your evening turns out.

Sounds like a great game to play, and what a fun night it was for the two of you!
And as for Kenny G, back in the 90s I had “only” his CDs playing in my car for over a year until Bill asked if we could listen to something else 🙂 I might have his CDs somewhere…I haven’t seen them for a long time ….hmmm.
